Ordering Information

There are certain measurements (inches only please) needed to get the best fit. As we all know, no two pets are alike. They may have the same neck size and back length, but because one may have more fur than another and one, may have a broader rib cage, a standard small, medium, or large may not suit your pet. Depending on what you are ordering, depends on the measurements that I will need. If you are ordering a coat, for example, I would need neck, girth, length, height, and weight. For a hat, I would need head measurements. There may be times that I need to contact you for further information or clarification. In some cases, I will need to make a preliminary prototype to send to you, along with instructions on how to check for a perfect fit. You can mark it up and send it back to me in a self-addressed stamped envelope. In this case, I would need to contact you directly. So please fill out the appropriate information that best suits what you are ordering.

I know this seems like a lot of measuring, but in the end you will have a better fit for the apparel you are purchasing. Please keep in mind, only use a seamstress type (soft measuring tape) that can be purchased at your local fabric store. Refer to the Measurements page to determine how to properly measure your pet. It is important for me to know the breed, weight, and sex of your pet.

Please be assured, all information below will be kept confidential and will not be used or sold for any marketing purposes whatsoever. If you have any question on how to measure your pet, please contact me for help.

All Measurements Should be in Inches
A. Neck: With the pet’s collar removed, measure comfortably around the neck where they would normally wear their collar.
B. Girth/
Chest:
Measure at the widest point just behind the front legs. If your pet has a bit of a tummy please make a note of this on the ordering page.
C. Length: This one can be kind of tricky. Feel where the shoulder bone comes together at the base of the neck and where the tail begins. Measure the distance between the base of the neck and the beginning of tail bone, following the back bone.
D. Waist: If purchasing pants, belly bands, or santi-panties, it is important to measure the waist. If you look down at your pet, you should see an indentation just below the rib cage. This is normally the waist area.
E. Belly Bands: Measure around the fullest part of their tummy, snuggly but gently over his private parts using a soft measuring tape. Adjustments will be made to the measurements, to allow enough room for a sanitary pad.
F: Santi-Panties: 1.
2.
1. Measure around the fullest part of their tummy.
2. Measure from the waist area to the base of the tail.
G. Pants: 1.
2.
3.
1. Measure your pet around the fullest part of their tummy.
2. Measure from the waist area to the base of the tail.
3. Measure from the top of their back side to where their knee joint is. In this case, standing a yard stick on the floor, with the pet standing next to it, you can pretty much get an accurate measurement.
H. Height: 1.
2.
1. Again, standing a yard stick on the floor, with the pet standing next to it, and measure from the top of the shoulder to the ground.
2. Also, make note of the measurement where the elbow joint is.
I. & J. Head: 1.
2.
3.
4.
1. For snoods and hats: Measure around your pets face, in front of the ears, to the top of their brow (above their eyes), to under their chin.
2. Also, measure the top of their head, from ear to ear
3. For Hats-Measure from the front part, of the top of their head, to the back part of their head.
4. For Snoods, measure from the top of their brow (above their eyes), to the back of their neck where their collar sits.
